About the position

As a Cyber Security Analyst Senior at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in building robust cyber defense mechanisms using advanced technologies. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's cyber security assurance processes, which are vital for securing client missions and anticipating future threats. This position requires a strong focus on security policies, assessments, and monitoring the overall cyber security posture of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and execute tests of systems to evaluate results against specifications and requirements.
• Perform assessments of systems and networks to identify deviations from acceptable configurations and policies.
• Measure the effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities.
• Establish program control processes to mitigate risks and support certification and accreditation of systems.
• Assist in implementing required government policies and recommend process tailoring.
• Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and recommend additional safeguards.
• Conduct forensic analysis of digital information and gather evidence of network intrusions.
• Support formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) processes, including pre-test preparations and report generation.
• Review system audits periodically and monitor corrective actions until closure.
• Provide guidance and leadership to less-experienced cybersecurity personnel.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience in cybersecurity.
• Top Secret SCI + Polygraph security clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
