About The Position

GDIT is seeking a dedicated Cyber Security Analyst Senior to join our technology-leading team, focusing on solving some of the world's most complex technical challenges. This position is integral to supporting the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission of the Airforce at Langley AFB, Virginia. As a Cyber Network Defense Analyst, you will be responsible for providing Cyber Monitoring and Defense across a global enterprise, specifically supporting the Air Forces' Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Processing, Exploitation, Dissemination (PED) Operations Center (DOC). Your role will involve near-real-time monitoring and analysis of insider and external threats utilizing advanced network security tools and custom-developed scripts in accordance with Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 502. In this position, you will perform critical functions such as network security alerting and problem resolution, prioritizing remediation efforts based on reliable threat intelligence, and monitoring the security of the DCGS from both internal and external threats. You will implement the Enterprise Audit Conceptual Framework as defined by Intelligence Community Standard (ICS) 500-27, generating a comprehensive list of auditable events for all user activity, processing and sharing this data effectively. Additionally, you will provide risk determination recommendations to the Authorizing Official (AO) regarding the acceptance or rejection of an Authority to Operate (ATO) or Authority to Test (ATT). Your responsibilities will also include assessing and reporting cyber readiness, analyzing trends and concerns, and providing key findings and recommendations to government program leads. You will manage antivirus definition files on DCGS Enterprise information systems, provide guidance to other units responding to security events, and ensure compliance with Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) and other governing directives. This role requires a minimum of three years of network and system security experience, along with strong knowledge of ESS/HBSS and the CND Framework.
