About the position

CALNET has a requirement for a Cyber Security Analyst with a Top-Secret Clearance to support a Norfolk Naval Shipyard Contract in Portsmouth, VA. The Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for providing analysis support in Information Assurance (IA) controls, conducting risk assessments, and developing contingency plans. The role requires a minimum of four years of experience in cybersecurity and A&A analysis, with a strong understanding of CS/INFOSEC concepts and requirements, as well as the DOD A&A process and standards. The analyst will engage in system and network vulnerability analysis, risk assessment, and risk mitigation analysis, ensuring that all security measures are in place and effective. The Cyber Security Analyst will also be involved in Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) and will be responsible for maintaining day-to-day Vulnerability Risk Assessment Management (VRAM) activities. This includes entering system baseline configurations in VRAM and uploading vulnerability scans of representative baseline systems. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge and mastery levels of institutional knowledge regarding mission-critical procedures, systems, and processes related to Information Technology and Cyber Security requirements. Additionally, the analyst must be fully qualified in accordance with DoD 8570.01M and have experience certifying and accrediting Department of the Navy (DON) information systems and networks. The position requires a bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or nine years of relevant experience. The Cyber Security Analyst will play a crucial role in safeguarding Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information and ensuring compliance with various federal and DoD regulations, including the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and NIST standards. Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis support in Information Assurance (IA) controls analysis.

Requirements
