About the position

As a Cyber Security Analyst with TS/SCI at Kirtland AFB, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) contract. Your primary responsibility will be to empower the Department of Defense's navigation warfare (NAVWAR) mission, ensuring that positioning, navigation, and timing superiority is maintained. This involves providing combatant commanders and joint force commanders with expert knowledge on planning and conducting NAVWAR operations, as well as understanding the friendly and enemy NAVWAR Order of Battle and the associated successes and threats related to PNT (Positioning, Navigation, and Timing). In this position, you will coordinate with various agencies, including the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), U.S. Cyber Command (CYBERCOM), Joint Force Headquarters‐Cyber (JFHQ‐C), Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER), and JFHQ‐DoD Information Network (JFHQ‐DoDIN). Your role will involve facilitating information sharing both internally and externally, integrating this information into C4, cyber, and cyberspace operations. You will also be responsible for reviewing policies and authorities to ensure compliance and effective implementation within the organization. This position requires a strong background in cybersecurity, with a focus on collaboration and communication across multiple defense entities. You will be expected to leverage your expertise to enhance the operational capabilities of the NAVWAR mission, ensuring that all cybersecurity measures are in place and functioning effectively to protect critical information and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), U.S. Cyber Command (CYBERCOM), Joint Force Headquarters‐Cyber (JFHQ‐C), Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER), and JFHQ‐DoD Information Network (JFHQ‐DoDIN).
  • Facilitate information sharing internally and externally.
  • Integrate information sharing into C4, cyber, and cyberspace operations.
  • Review policies and authorities to ensure compliance and implementation.

Requirements

  • Current TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • A bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Assurance, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications including CompTIA's Network+, CompTIA's Security+, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner or industry equivalent (8570 compliant certs).
  • Seven years of relevant Cyber Security experience.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), U.S. Cyber Command (CYBERCOM), Joint Force Headquarters‐Cyber (JFHQ‐C), Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER), JFHQ‐DoD Information Network (JFHQ‐DoDIN), or other CYBERCOM components.
  • Ability to work independently with limited government oversight and function effectively as part of a team in a joint working environment.
