About the position

The Cyber Security Analyst at Long Iron Services, LLC is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of security solutions and addressing security alerts or breaches. This role involves participating in the planning and design of security architecture, maintaining security policies, conducting vulnerability assessments, and ensuring the overall security of the enterprise's systems. The analyst will also provide support for security solutions and be involved in the implementation of new security measures.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the planning and design of enterprise security architecture under the direction of the IT Security Manager.
• Create enterprise security documents such as policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures.
• Plan and design an enterprise business continuity plan and disaster recovery plan.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the IT security industry and recommend security solutions or enhancements.
• Deploy, integrate, and configure new security solutions and enhancements to existing solutions.
• Maintain secure configurations and operations of all in-place devices.
• Monitor security solutions for efficient operations and review logs and reports.
• Participate in investigations into problematic activity and design vulnerability assessments and security audits.
• Provide on-call support for end users regarding security solutions and ensure timely incident response.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• College diploma or university degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Extensive experience with malicious email analysis and email security gateways.
• Experience with endpoint detection and response and network security monitoring tools.
• Strong understanding of IP, TCP/IP, and network administration protocols.
• Knowledge of IT administrator auditing procedures.
• Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• One or more of the following certifications: CompTIA Security+, CySA+, EC-Council CEH, GIAC Certified Incident Handler.
• Experience with Security Awareness training platforms for enterprise users.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning platforms.
