About the position

ECS is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to provide cybersecurity analysis and expertise in Assessment and Authorization (A&A) to support the Department of Defense's Risk Management Framework (RMF) authorization packages. The role involves ensuring applications and systems maintain valid authorizations, reviewing security requirements, and developing recommendations on cybersecurity matters. The analyst will also provide programmatic support, participate in collaboration meetings, and enhance existing information assurance (IA) processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Cybersecurity analysis and Assessment and Authorization (A&A) expertise.
  • Support executing all steps necessary for DoD's Risk Management Framework (RMF) authorization packages.
  • Review security requirements, products, configurations, and architectures.
  • Develop recommended direction on Cybersecurity and A&A matters.
  • Provide programmatic support in a dynamic environment.
  • Participate in collaboration team meetings to coach program managers and IA practitioners.
  • Track critical IA processes using automated tools.
  • Maintain accurate information flow in response to client direction.
  • Enhance existing IA doctrine and processes through project management skills.
  • May serve as primary action officer or project management liaison.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
  • US Citizenship required per contract.
  • Security certification for Information Assurance Technical (IAM) I/Security+ required.
  • One year experience performing information assurance tasks in operational network environments.
  • One year experience under Risk Management Framework and risk management methodologies.
  • Thorough knowledge of DODD 8500.1 and other IA guidance.
  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Vulnerability assessment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Tenable Security Center (ACAS).
  • Practical experience with DISA STIG Compliance.
