About the position

The Cyber Security Analyst position is focused on protecting the organization's information systems and networks from cyber threats. The role involves analyzing security incidents, implementing security measures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. The analyst will work closely with various teams to enhance the security posture of the organization, particularly in the energy sector.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and respond to security incidents and events.
• Implement and manage security measures to protect information systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as NERC CIP.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
• Develop and maintain security documentation and operational procedures.
• Provide briefings and reports on security findings to management.
• Collaborate with teams to enhance cybersecurity practices and frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in Cybersecurity or IT functions.
• Possession of industry-standard certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or SANS certifications.
• Strong understanding of Cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001.
• Experience with network monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a security operations center.
• Engineering experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Familiarity with the Cyber Kill Chain methodology and MITRE ATT&CK framework.
