About the position

Rincon Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join their Information Technology team. This role focuses on auditing against established cyber policies and implementing operating procedures. The analyst will conduct onboarding, training, and security awareness testing, requiring expertise in identifying and neutralizing cyber threats, particularly with Azure and M365 administration. The position emphasizes effective communication of cybersecurity advancements to the business and may offer flexible work arrangements, although in-person collaboration is prioritized.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, document, and establish standard operating procedures to secure client and internal data lifecycles
• Participate in incident response, threat intelligence, and forensic support functions
• Perform SOC operations including monitoring, reporting, and response to malicious activity
• Consult with stakeholders regarding information system vulnerabilities and remediation
• Assist and train staff and subconsultants on threats, audit techniques, and support
• Support and research security and compliance requirements according to regulatory requirements and firm policy
• Support and execute enhancements for the cyber security program
• Conduct security audits, tests, and assessments, and analyze and report results
• Provide notifications of updated compliance requirements to technology functions
• Manage and prioritize multiple clients and projects
• Safeguard and maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and security of sensitive information
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer security or related field desired
• 2+ years of experience in enterprise cyber compliance and administration
• Demonstrated experience in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating sophisticated cyber threats
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Security tools (Entra/Purview/Defender/InTune) preferred
• Microsoft Azure experience
• Understanding and interest in Artificial Intelligence as it relates to cyber security and communication
• Process automation and database experience preferred
• Ability to adapt in a constantly changing environment of security and technology
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment
• Strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
• Available outside of regular business hours for time-sensitive tasks
• IT-related certifications (i.e., CompTIA Sec+, Cysa, CISSP) preferred
