About the position

The Cyber Security Analyst position is responsible for protecting an organization's computer systems and networks from security breaches and cyber threats. The role involves analyzing security incidents, implementing security measures, and ensuring compliance with security standards and frameworks. The analyst will work closely with IT teams to enhance system security and respond to security incidents effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a cybersecurity analytical role.
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, network protocols, and network security technologies.
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools and other security monitoring tools.
• Experience with system administration in both Windows and Unix/Linux environments.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation of security and administrative tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Linux+) are a plus.
• Trip wire skills and NERC-CIP knowledge are a plus.
