About the position

Responsibilities

• Perform specific tasks driven by tools and reports developed by the MDATP Research team.
• Evaluate the performance of detection rules that protect Microsoft customers from malware and advanced attacks.
• Drive investigations into missed detections and assist in developing contextual reports about incidents.
• Provide labeling and grading support for determining the accuracy of complex rules and detections.
• Assist data sciences, response, threat intelligence, and product feature teams in improving detection capabilities.
• Document trends and incidents and validate issues with tools or supporting services.
• Work with various partners including MDATP management, data scientists, and threat intelligence analysts.

Requirements

• Active U.S. Government CJIS Security clearance.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection (MDATP).
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate detection rules and incidents.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Experience in threat hunting and triaging.
