About the position

The Cyber Security Analyst position at Canvas involves supporting the Department of Defense's navigation warfare mission by providing expertise in planning and conducting navigation warfare operations. The role requires collaboration with various military and cyber command entities to ensure effective integration of cyber operations into strategic objectives, while also facilitating information sharing and ensuring compliance with relevant policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise on planning and conducting navigation warfare (NAVWAR).
• Support the integration of C4, cyber, and cyberspace operations into JNWC's strategic objectives.
• Coordinate with various military and cyber command entities as needed.
• Facilitate information sharing internally and externally.
• Review policies and ensure compliance and implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Assurance, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications such as CompTIA's Network+, CompTIA's Security+, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner or equivalent.
• Five years of relevant Cyber Security experience.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience with DISA, U.S. Cyber Command, JFHQ-Cyber, Army Cyber Command, or other CYBERCOM components.
• Ability to work independently with limited government oversight.
• Ability to function effectively as part of a team in a joint working environment.
