About the position

As part of the Brightly Software Cyber Security team, this position focuses on supporting the Cyber Security Program by addressing various topics across the product portfolio and corporate security. The role involves assessing vulnerabilities, aligning security practices with compliance standards, providing security expertise, and promoting a positive security culture within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Cyber Security Program focusing on various topics across the product portfolio and corporate security.
  • Assess application code for vulnerabilities and collaborate with engineering teams to determine relevance.
  • Align threat, configuration, and patch management practices with compliance standards and security frameworks.
  • Provide security expertise and consulting to teams across the enterprise.
  • Assist in responding to and remediating security events, incidents, and alerts.
  • Collaborate with the Cyber Security team to ensure successful completion of roadmaps and initiatives.
  • Promote a positive security culture by educating and advising team members.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in Cyber Security.
  • University degree in a related discipline or relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and system vulnerabilities.
  • Initiative in exploring new concepts, skills, and technologies.
  • Curiosity in security challenges, threats, and technologies.
  • Experience using vulnerability management, scanners, cloud configuration solutions, and/or SIEM tools is a plus.
  • Proficiency in a scripting language like Python, Bash, or PowerShell is required.
  • AWS Cloud experience is required.
  • Information Security certifications (Security+, (ISC)2 CC, CySA+, etc.) are a plus.
  • Offensive Security/Pen test certifications (OSCP, GPEN, GWAPT, CEH, etc.) are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in different geographic locations.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken & written).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using vulnerability management tools and scanners.
  • Knowledge of cloud configuration solutions and SIEM tools.
  • Information Security certifications such as Security+, (ISC)2 CC, CySA+, etc.
  • Offensive Security/Pen test certifications like OSCP, GPEN, GWAPT, CEH, etc.
