About the position

The Cyber Security Analyst at Stratford Solutions Inc. is responsible for identifying and mitigating complex IT threats to computer systems, networks, and data. This role involves using technical tools to monitor and defend against cyberattacks, managing endpoints, investigating security incidents, and advising on security provisions. The analyst will also collaborate with IT teams to design secure cloud infrastructure and perform vulnerability assessments, ensuring the organization remains compliant with security best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and mitigate complex IT technical threats to computer systems, networks, and data.
  • Use technical IT tools and software to monitor, analyze, and defend against cyberattacks.
  • Monitor and analyze network traffic, configure firewalls, and conduct vulnerability assessments.
  • Manage and protect endpoints from malware, ransomware, and other threats.
  • Investigate security incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Utilize SIEM tools to collect, correlate, and analyze security event data for threat detection.
  • Monitor and analyze emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
  • Perform penetration testing.
  • Keep abreast of the latest security, privacy, and regulatory concerns.
  • Advise on changes requested by third parties to security and privacy provisions.
  • Collaborate with IT project management to design secure cloud infrastructure plans.
  • Perform analysis on the security of cloud services such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on cloud security, automation, and virtualization.
  • Develop, document, and validate policies, processes, and procedures for cloud security.
  • Develop cloud security metrics to analyze risks and reduce vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with the city's Cyber Command Center to update agency inventory lists.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or Computer Science.
  • Industry recognized certification in information security (e.g., CISSP, GIAC, CISM, CISA, CIPP, CTPRP, CCSP).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an IT or computer-related field.
  • At least three (3) years of hands-on technical experience in cloud administration.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience with Cloud Cybersecurity efforts aligned with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Nice-to-haves

  • Greater than five (5) years of experience in IT or computer-related fields.
  • Experience in Information Network Security occupations.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $116K - $148K per year.
  • Contract position with a duration of 6 years.
