About the position

The Information Security Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the Information Security Officer by developing and implementing security controls for telecommunications and data networks. This position involves a comprehensive approach to secure systems design, ensuring that the network infrastructure and servers are fortified against potential threats. The analyst will conduct network and system risk analyses, applying computer forensics methods to investigate policy violations. Additionally, the role requires consulting with operational departments to ensure that approved network security controls comply with US, State, and local laws, codes, rules, regulations, and internal policies. In this hybrid work environment, the analyst will be expected to work collaboratively with various teams to identify security threats and respond accordingly. The position demands proficiency in security tools, including log analysis using Splunk, networking monitoring tools, and social media monitoring tools. Familiarity with code analysis tools is also beneficial, as the analyst will need to inspect code for vulnerabilities. Effective communication skills are essential, as the analyst will need to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders and ensure that all security measures are understood and implemented effectively. This contract position offers a pay range of $45.00 to $48.00 per hour, with an expected workload of 40 hours per week. The role is designed for individuals with a strong background in cybersecurity and information security, specifically those with at least three years of relevant experience. The hybrid work model allows for flexibility, combining remote work with in-office responsibilities in Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Information Security Officer in developing and implementing security controls for telecommunications and data networks.
