About the position

The Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for securing both Cloud and on-premises infrastructures, conducting threat assessments, and remediating identified threats. This role involves working collaboratively across departments to identify and rectify security flaws, while also leading initiatives to enhance the security of Quadax's infrastructure and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Leading efforts to counter security breaches and reducing the likelihood of future security incidents.
  • Defining, planning, implementing, maintaining, and upgrading security measures, policies, and controls.
  • Writing reports and providing insights on the efficacy of current security policies and incident responses.
  • Keeping security systems up to date.
  • Monitoring security access and maintaining relevant data.
  • Conducting vulnerability testing and risk analysis to assess security.
  • Performing internal and external security audits.
  • Validating penetration testing results from third-party firms and guiding remediation efforts.
  • Analyzing security breaches to identify causes and update incident responses and disaster recovery plans.
  • Verifying and coordinating security plans with outside vendors.
  • Creating procedures for IT employees and training them in security awareness.
  • Working with Application Development teams to ensure secure applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in cyber security, computer science, programming, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-5 years' experience in security administration or a related field.
  • Advanced training certifications may be advantageous.
  • Experience with Microsoft Sentinel and KQL.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune.
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender and Azure Security Compliance is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and teaching skills.
  • Good anticipation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stay current on the latest technology and best practices in information security.

  • Advanced training certifications in cybersecurity.
  • Experience with additional security tools and technologies.
