About the position

The Cyber Security Analyst position at VTG involves ensuring the security of the organization's information systems and networks. The role requires a strong understanding of cyber security principles and practices, along with experience in various security technologies. The analyst will utilize data from cyber defense tools to analyze events, mitigate threats, and maintain cybersecurity policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Analyze events using data from cyber defense tools to mitigate threats.
• Interpret, analyze, and report all events and anomalies according to computer network directives.
• Evaluate, test, recommend, coordinate, monitor, and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and systems.
• Ensure cybersecurity plans, controls, processes, standards, policies, and procedures align with cybersecurity standards.
• Identify security risks and exposures, determine causes of security violations, and suggest procedures to prevent future incidents.
• Develop techniques and procedures for conducting cybersecurity risk assessments and compliance audits.
• Investigate and resolve security incidents such as intrusions, frauds, attacks, or leaks.
• Provide advanced guidance and leadership to less-experienced cybersecurity personnel.
• May serve as a team or task leader.

Requirements

• TS/SCI with Poly
• BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
• 5 - 11 years related experience (Full Performance 5+ years, Senior 8+ years, Expert 11+ years)
