About the position

ECS is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to work in our Hybrid -Telework / Fort Meade, MD office. This position is primarily focused on supporting DISA's Web Content Filtering Program Office. The selected candidate will serve as a Principal Information Assurance Subject Matter Expert, applying extensive knowledge of various Information Assurance (IA) concepts, practices, and procedures to ensure the secure integration and operations of all computer enclave systems. The role requires the individual to work independently, evaluating and solving complex IA-related problems efficiently and effectively. The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for supporting, monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting hardware and software IA issues within the enclave environment. This includes preparing and overseeing the preparation of IA certification and accreditation documentation, as well as developing system-wide information security requirements based on user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands for complex network and enclave systems. The analyst will also support customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies, providing leadership and guidance in the design and application of solutions implemented by junior staff members. In addition, the role involves coordinating with senior representatives within customer organizations to establish and define programs, resources, and risks. The Cyber Security Analyst will apply their expertise to both government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems that require specialized security features and procedures. The position may also involve providing guidance and direction to other professionals and serving in a consulting and/or advisory capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Apply extensive knowledge of IA concepts, practices, and procedures to ensure secure integration and operations of computer enclave systems.
  • Evaluate and solve complex IA-related problems independently and efficiently.
  • Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software IA issues in the enclave environment.
  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of IA certification and accreditation documentation.
  • Develop system-wide information security requirements based on analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands.
  • Support customers in developing and implementing doctrine and policies at the highest levels.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in the development, design, and application of solutions implemented by junior staff members.
  • Coordinate with senior representatives within customer organizations to establish and define programs, resources, and risks.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher, or ability to acquire a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • US citizenship required.
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially with the client.
  • Excellent technical document writing skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills to team and client.
  • Experience with eMASS.
  • Understanding and review experience with DoD STIG.
  • Experience with ATO process.
  • Experience leading a cybersecurity review for an application or system.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to apply a DoD STIG to a network device.
  • Experience at DISA.
  • Understanding of Palo Alto Firewalls, Juniper Routers, RHEL platforms, Splunk application, F5 devices.
