Pencor Services is seeking a dedicated Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Palmerton, PA. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $65,000 to $85,000 per year. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our cybersecurity posture by engaging in various activities such as cybersecurity monitoring, incident response, proactive penetration testing, and security-related automation tasks. The role requires a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and partners to promote cybersecurity best practices. As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will be responsible for daily and routine tasks including security log monitoring and staying updated on common vulnerabilities and exposures affecting network, server, and mobile hardware and applications. You will also serve as an audit and consultative resource, providing guidance on cybersecurity best practices to various stakeholders. The position requires a solid foundation in firewalls, service provider-level networking hardware, and operating systems, as well as proficiency in common desktop operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and MacOS. Additionally, knowledge of scripting languages like Python or PowerShell is essential for success in this role. Candidates must demonstrate current knowledge of penetration testing tools and possess a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Cyber Security and/or Networking. A demonstrated progressive advancement in the Cyber Security field over the last 5-10 years is required, along with established residency in Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of PAN-OS, Cisco IOS-XR, and Microsoft Windows Server, as well as a deep understanding of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are essential, as is the ability to self-manage large and complex projects while managing multiple ongoing tasks. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, along with the capability to present complex topics to groups for training purposes, is also crucial. A portfolio of previous work related to network/server programming tasks or security-related projects must be provided.
