Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Chantilly, VA. As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will be responsible for executing system security plans for multiple secure information systems based on NIST Compliance and the Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG). You will advise customers on Risk Management Framework (RMF) assessment and authorization issues, develop, review, endorse, and recommend action by the Authorizing Official (AO) or Designated Authorizing Official (DAO) of system assessment documentation. Additionally, you will execute the Continuous Monitoring Plan, document results, and take corrective action where necessary. Your role will also involve responding to security incidents, including investigating and reporting security violations and incidents. You will assist in executing the information security education, training, and awareness program, which includes attending, monitoring, and presenting local cyber security training. Evaluating threats and vulnerabilities to ascertain whether additional safeguards are needed will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will coordinate with Physical Security Officers (PSOs), cognizant security officials, and other information system Points of Contact (POCs) on the approval of external information systems. Furthermore, you will execute configuration management (CM) tasks for security-relevant changes to software, hardware, and firmware and ensure proper documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to security incidents, including investigating and reporting security violations and incidents
  • Assist in executing the information security education, training, and awareness program, including attending, monitoring, and presenting local cyber security training

  • Coordinate with PSOs, cognizant security officials and other information system POCs on approval of external information systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT related discipline, additional 4 years of experience might be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • 2+ years related experience
  • Prior performance in roles such as ISSO, SOC Analyst or Cyber Security Analyst
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II cert (Sec+)
