About the position

The Cyber Security Analyst at VTG Defense is a critical role focused on ensuring the security of the organization's information systems and networks. The position requires a strong understanding of cyber security principles and practices, along with experience in various security technologies. The analyst will utilize data from cyber defense tools to analyze events, mitigate threats, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze events using data from cyber defense tools to mitigate threats.
• Interpret, analyze, and report all events and anomalies according to network directives.
• Evaluate, test, recommend, and maintain cybersecurity policies and systems.
• Ensure cybersecurity plans and procedures align with standards.
• Identify security risks, determine causes of violations, and suggest improvements.
• Develop techniques for conducting risk assessments and compliance audits.
• Provide guidance and leadership to less-experienced cybersecurity personnel.
• May serve as a team or task leader.

Requirements

• TS/SCI with Poly
• BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
• 5 - 11 years related experience (Full Performance 5+ years, Senior 8+ years, Expert 11+ years)
