About the position

The Cyber Security Compliance position at Ashburn Consulting is a hands-on technical role focused on ensuring the security compliance of Tier 3 endpoint computing and Tier 4 infrastructure environments. The role involves monitoring for vulnerabilities, researching cyber threats, deploying security patches, and managing software releases, all while collaborating with stakeholders to maintain compliance and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor all environments for known vulnerabilities in deployed configurations.
  • Research newly identified vulnerabilities and cyber threats from various information sources.
  • Use Cyber Security tools to identify vulnerabilities in software images and configuration changes.
  • Research, develop, and test technical solutions for remediation of vulnerabilities.
  • Deploy patches and security remediations across endpoint computing environments.
  • Substitute for the role of software release manager during surge needs.
  • Validate software release process and technical procedures.
  • Develop master images and deployment procedures.
  • Maintain compliance checklists for software releases and configuration changes.
  • Communicate critical issues and document process updates within the team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a large environment with 1000+ Microsoft Windows and MacOS endpoint devices.
  • Senior level experience with multi-platform operating systems and software.
  • Experience as an Ivanti Software Administrator for endpoint management and security compliance.
  • Experience with software and operating system deployment in a large enterprise.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and endpoint performance management tools.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient project planning and writing skills.
  • MCP or MCSE certification is highly desired.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group policies.
  • Hands-on experience with endpoint security tools such as Nessus, Microsoft Defender, and McAfee.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Access or other advanced data manipulation solutions.
  • Mac Genius experience.
  • Experience providing engineering support for Active Directory and Microsoft client applications.
  • Experience developing detailed Windows and Mac Administrative standards.
