About the position

The Cyber Security Architect/Engineer II position at Honeywell International, Inc. in Houston, TX, is a full-time role focused on delivering high-quality managed security services. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing the managed security services business in interactions with both internal and external customers, as well as business partners. This role requires a proactive approach to project management, ensuring that all assigned projects and delivery tasks are completed on time and within budget. The candidate will perform essential application and system administration tasks to maintain the Managed Security Services Center at an industry-standard operational level. In this position, the individual will respond to monitoring alerts, advising customers of alarm situations, investigating problems, and determining optimal solutions. The role also involves contributing to the development of the remote services portfolio and staying updated with Honeywell Process Solutions and industry-standard networking and cybersecurity practices. The candidate will be expected to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing accurate and efficient technical and engineering support, while also maintaining industrial safety awareness through relevant safety certifications. The position requires participation in a 24x7 on-call process when necessary, and the candidate will be responsible for obtaining new cybersecurity certifications and staying informed about current industry security standards such as IEC-62443 and ISO 27000. The role also includes responding to customer inquiries and issues by diagnosing problems and providing suitable technical solutions in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally represent the managed security services business in interactions with internal and external customers and business partners.
  • Lead and/or support assigned projects and delivery tasks, ensuring high-quality service delivery on time and within budget.
  • Perform application and system administration tasks to keep the Managed Security Services Center operational at an industry-standard level.
  • Respond to monitoring alerts by advising customers of alarm situations, investigating problems, and determining optimal solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of the remote services portfolio.
  • Stay updated with Honeywell Process Solutions and industry-standard networking and cybersecurity practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers by providing accurate and efficient technical/engineering support.
  • Maintain industrial safety awareness through the completion of relevant safety certifications.
  • Configure and implement secure hosting solutions on-site.
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call process when necessary.
  • Obtain new and maintain existing cybersecurity certifications.
  • Stay informed about current industry security standards such as IEC-62443, ISO 27000, etc.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, questions, and issues by diagnosing problems and providing the most suitable technical solution in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in industrial automation, networking, or systems engineering.
  • Experience with networks, IT (Information Technology), or OT (Operation Technology) Security/Industrial Cyber Security.
  • Knowledge of IEC 62443, ISO 27000 series, and ISO 20001.
  • Knowledge of cloud integration and maintenance.
  • Experience with virtualization.
  • Experience in Network Switches and Firewall configuration.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux-based systems.
  • Experience with security monitoring (WMI, SNMP, Syslog).
  • Knowledge of configuring standard and non-standard deployments of WSUS, Trellix ePO, Symantec, TightVNC, SSL VPN tunnels, OpenVPN tunnels, Proxy+, VMWare ESXI, VSphere, Windows Server Administration, AD administration.
  • Certifications in Windows Server Administration, Networking, Security, and Azure Cloud.
  • COMPTIA Security+ Certification.
