About the position

Deloitte's Government and Public Services Cyber Practice (GPS Cyber Practice) is seeking a skilled professional to elevate their cyber career. This role involves advising, implementing, and managing cybersecurity solutions across various verticals, including Strategy, Defense and Response, Identity, Infrastructure, Data, and Application Security. The position offers opportunities to work with advanced cybersecurity tools and promotes both vertical and horizontal growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients and lead security-related efforts
  • Identify appropriate technology/data sources and drive the collection of data necessary to effectively evaluate threats
  • Propose, design, plan and execute strategic and tactical operational security objectives
  • Work closely with enterprise architects and engineers to identify and mitigate risks, perform security/architecture reviews, design top tier security practices, and deliver strategic, innovative security offerings
  • Collaborate with team to create security templates and configurations that can be leveraged to scale Cloud security capabilities across client AWS, Azure, and GCP environments
  • Develop future state architectures that meet guidelines and agency policy
  • Analyze threats and current security controls to identify gaps in current defensive posture
  • Lead current state assessment activities of existing environment

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role
  • Strong foundation of Cloud Service Provider vendors (AWS, Azure, GCP) security offerings and the ability to communicate security and risk-related concepts
  • Experience designing and integrating marketplace leading vulnerability management, threat management, monitoring, and data protection processes and platform tools
  • Experience building and operating secure cloud hosted environments
  • Familiarity with security capabilities and guidelines and experience demonstrating compliance
  • 7+ years of experience deploying/configuring security capabilities within one or more CSP vendors (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • A history of delivering secure architectures in a federal environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of compute, network, and storage principles
  • Demonstrated proficiency managing large organizations

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
  • Experience in mobile and endpoint security
  • One or more of the following CSP Cloud Certification in Azure, AWS, or GCP
