About the position

The Cyber Security Compliance Engineer at CACI is responsible for creating and maintaining a secure operating environment that complies with DFARS standards. This role involves protecting network boundaries, designing secure systems, and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data. The engineer will work closely with various internal teams to assess security risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with government regulations and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a DFARS operating environment for CACI's users.
  • Protect network boundaries and design hardened computer and network devices.
  • Provide security services to protect highly sensitive data.
  • Design and implement remediation strategies for vulnerability and risk assessments.
  • Grant authorization to operate IT systems at acceptable risk levels.
  • Test and validate IT systems for vulnerabilities and indications of compromise.
  • Respond to incidents and implement remediation measures.
  • Develop policies and compliant technology to meet government and compliance standards.
  • Research cybersecurity threats and NIST 800 standards in support of CMMC standards.
  • Conduct assessments to determine risk and compliance levels of various systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience in Cyber Security.
  • Fundamental-level knowledge of at least 3 of the following: NIST 800 series, risk management and mitigation strategies, implementation of security tools and automation, vendor relationship management, familiarity with cloud architecture including SaaS implementations.
  • In-depth knowledge of multi-factor and identity management solutions.

Nice-to-haves

  • CYSA+, CISSP, CEH, Security + and other certifications desired.
  • Secret or Top-Secret clearance desired.
  • Previous experience with the design or implementation of cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance activities.
