About the position

The Senior IT Project Manager - Cybersecurity at TEKsystems is responsible for planning, managing, and executing medium to large-scale cybersecurity initiatives. This role involves leading cross-functional project teams to enhance cybersecurity processes and defenses against cyber threats. The Project Manager will utilize PMO methodology to ensure successful project delivery and effective communication across various business groups.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the project planning effort, defining deliverables and delivery dates.
  • Create a logical work breakdown structure and define major project milestones.
  • Manage project financials including budgeting, forecasting, and actuals tracking.
  • Identify risks and issues, providing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and produce project management reports, timelines, and documentation.
  • Oversee all project activities and ensure alignment of project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate multiple workstreams across IT and business units.
  • Promote PMO methodology and ensure quality delivery of project deliverables.
  • Drive the importance of risk management and security controls.
  • Participate in developing and measuring project success criteria.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in leading medium to large scale Cybersecurity initiatives.
  • 10+ years of experience working within IT teams to deliver business solutions.
  • Proven experience in managing projects in Agile and Waterfall environments.
  • PMP Certification or 10+ years in leading IT projects.
  • Technical skills in development, configuration, implementation, and support of IT solutions.
  • Experience working with cross-functional IT and cybersecurity teams.
  • Advanced change leadership skills and ability to manage communication and negotiate outcomes.
  • Extensive experience in building detailed project plans and project management artifacts.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Deep understanding of information technology and its linkage to business processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with NIST CSF controls.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity disciplines including GRC, Security Architecture, and data loss prevention.
  • Microsoft security tool experience.
