About the position

The Senior IT Project Manager - Cybersecurity is responsible for planning, managing, and executing medium to large-scale cybersecurity initiatives. This role involves leading cross-functional project teams to deploy solutions that enhance cybersecurity processes across various business groups. The position requires adherence to PMO methodology to ensure successful project delivery and effective communication among stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning efforts, defining deliverables and delivery dates.
  • Create logical work breakdown structures and define major project milestones.
  • Manage project financials including budgeting, forecasting, and actuals tracking.
  • Identify risks and issues, providing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and produce project management reports, timelines, and documentation.
  • Oversee all project activities and ensure alignment of project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate multiple workstreams across IT and business units.
  • Promote PMO methodology and ensure quality delivery of project deliverables.
  • Drive risk management, formal test plans, and security controls.
  • Develop and measure project success criteria and return on investment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in leading medium to large scale Cybersecurity initiatives.
  • 10+ years of experience working within IT teams to deliver business solutions.
  • Proven experience managing projects in Agile and Waterfall environments.
  • PMP Certification or 10+ years in leading IT projects.
  • Technical skills in development, configuration, implementation, and support of IT solutions.
  • Experience working with cross-functional IT and cybersecurity teams.
  • Advanced change leadership skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Extensive experience in building detailed project plans and management artifacts.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Deep understanding of information technology and its linkage to business processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with NIST CSF controls.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity disciplines including Governance, Risk, and Compliance, Security Architecture, and data loss prevention.
  • Microsoft security tool experience.
  • Contractor and vendor relationship experience.
