About the position

The Cyber Security Consultant role at Accenture in Atlanta, GA, is a critical position that requires a deep understanding of both Information Technology (IT) and Operations Technology (OT) security principles. This position is 100% on-site and is expected to last for a duration of 6 months or more. The consultant will be responsible for ensuring the security of network designs, firewall rule development, and the management of Windows operating systems security. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven years of experience in the field, with a strong emphasis on cyber security processes and technologies. The consultant will work closely with various security technologies, including network intrusion detection systems, firewalls, logging and monitoring tools, antivirus tools, and incident response tools. A hands-on understanding of these technologies is essential, as the consultant will be expected to perform incident analysis, root cause analysis, and problem resolution. Additionally, the role requires a solid understanding of industrial control system networks and how they differ from traditional IT systems when applying cyber security controls. The consultant will also need to demonstrate experience in security aspects across multiple platforms, operating systems, and network architectures. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial, as the consultant will be tasked with identifying errors, pinpointing root causes, and devising effective solutions with minimal oversight. The ability to coordinate multi-project assignments and manage deadlines is also a key requirement for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the security of network designs and firewall rule development.
  • Manage Windows operating systems security effectively.
  • Perform incident analysis and root cause analysis for security incidents.
  • Implement and manage network perimeter controls, including next generation firewalls and routers.
  • Utilize security technologies such as intrusion detection systems and antivirus tools.
  • Conduct problem resolution and devise solutions for security-related issues.
  • Coordinate multi-project assignments and manage deadlines effectively.

Requirements

  • Seven years of experience in IT/OT, cyber security, network design, and firewall management, or ten years of a combination of this experience and ICS experience.
  • Detailed hands-on understanding of cyber security processes and technologies.
  • Knowledge of security technologies including network intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and malware prevention tools.
  • Ability to perform incident analysis and root cause analysis.
  • Understanding of industrial control system networks and their security requirements.
  • Experience with workstation and server security.
  • 3+ years of experience with security-related tools such as ArcSite and Splunk.
  • Strong understanding of IT/OT security principles and best practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certification.
  • Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
  • Familiarity with Industrial Control Systems and third-party datalink protocols.
