About the position

The Cyber Security Consultant at Synechron will be a key member of the IT Risk & Security Practice, focusing on providing technical expertise and support for client-driven projects. This role involves both individual contributions and collaboration with sales and delivery teams, leveraging deep knowledge in Identity Access Management and security frameworks to drive business opportunities and ensure effective project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Support technical pre-sales activities and provide expertise on client-driven projects.
  • Deliver consulting services in Identity Access Management, including Authentication, Entitlements, SSO, and MFA.
  • Engage in solution architecture and design, execution, and delivery of security assessments.
  • Participate in sales engineering and client-focused pitches and proposals.
  • Contribute to the development of security policies and frameworks, including Zero Trust principles.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of consulting experience in Financial Services and/or the public sector.
  • Deep expertise in Authentication, Authorization, and Entitlement Management.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with IAM tools such as AD, Entra, LDAP, ForgeRock, Ping, Sailpoint, Savyint, Okta, and/or CyberArk.
  • 5+ years of delivery and architecture work with IAM tools for human users and system accounts.
  • 3+ years in solution design and integration of Authentication and Authorization solutions.
  • Demonstrable experience in Security Assessments and Assessment Frameworks covering IAM, PAM, RBAC, and Least Privilege Access.
  • Strong familiarity with Risk Assessment Frameworks including ISO27001, NIST 800-53, and NIST CSF.
  • Advanced knowledge of Zero Trust principles across Identity, Data Protection, and Network Segmentation.
  • 3+ years in Solution and Integration architecture with project work covering SSO integration and IdP integration.
  • 5+ years in sales engineering, presales support, and client-focused proposals.

  • Relevant Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SSCP, CRISC, CCSP, CIAM, CIMP.
  • Cloud Vendor Certifications like AWS Certified Security Specialty, GCP Cloud Security Engineer, Azure Cybersecurity Architect.
