About the position

The Cybersecurity Consultant role at Toffler Associates is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join the team as an Engagement Leader in Security and Resilience. This position focuses on supporting Department of Defense clients by developing and implementing technological cybersecurity solutions and cyber risk management strategies at a senior leadership level. The consultant will leverage investigative experience and cybersecurity engineering skills to design and implement complex, enterprise-wide cybersecurity solutions, ensuring effective monitoring and enhancement of technical capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, present, and implement technological cybersecurity solutions for Department of Defense clients.
  • Support cyber risk management strategies at a senior/executive leadership level.
  • Utilize investigative experience and security domain knowledge to support complex cybersecurity solutions.
  • Design and implement technical solutions across standard cyber operations, including early threat detection and effective monitoring.
  • Enhance technical capabilities and scenario engineering for cybersecurity operations.

Requirements

  • 4 to 7 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Policy, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Level II or greater DoDD 8570 compliant certification.
  • Extensive understanding of cyber threats, attack vectors, and countermeasures.
  • Knowledge of threat-based frameworks, such as MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Familiarity with NIST RMF, NIST CSF, DoD 8500, and other cybersecurity policies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more cybersecurity capability areas.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in cybersecurity management consulting.
  • Ability to propose and assess capabilities of alternative solutions.
  • Strong expertise in developing security architectures and integrating systems.
  • Experience with federal agency or commercial cyber accounts.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and growing long-term relationships.
