About the position

The Cyber Security Director at Evolver Federal will oversee multiple teams providing cybersecurity support services for a US Federal Government customer. This role requires a hands-on approach in a client environment, focusing on leadership, project execution, and process improvement within an Agile framework. The director will be responsible for maintaining security policies, managing the Security Authorization Process, and ensuring the implementation of NIST controls, while fostering innovation and collaboration among team members.

Responsibilities

  • Leading projects/programs in an Agile Environment
  • Maintaining FISMA Policies, Procedures and Reporting
  • Maintaining and executing the Security Authorization Process (SAP)
  • Conducting Security Control Assessment (SCA)
  • Implementing the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Developing Information Security policies and procedures
  • Providing guidance on implementation and validation of NIST 800-53 controls
  • Assisting with program development, including planning and team development
  • Defining program strategy and objectives
  • Contributing to strategy for the implementation of new technologies
  • Leading innovative cyber solutions
  • Fostering innovation among the team
  • Collaborating with support elements to enhance program capabilities
  • Understanding client requirements and implementing the client vision
  • Developing and maintaining Playbooks and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Analyzing Security Information and Event Management data to identify gaps
  • Ensuring product quality and timeliness of deliverable submissions
  • Providing advice and guidance to clients and contractor team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4 years of experience managing Cyber Projects
  • 1 year of experience managing large federal programs
  • 1 year of experience supporting Federal Government agencies
  • 1 year of experience understanding contract requirements
  • An active PMP and CISSP certification
  • Must be a US Citizen with suitable eligibility for Public Trust clearance
  • 1 year of experience with aiding in Business Development efforts
  • 1 year of experience writing RFP responses
  • 1 year of experience with the capture of small and large opportunities contributing to overall company growth.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced Degree in Information Technology, Business Management or similar fields
  • 10+ years of experience in Cyber Security
  • Passionate about Cyber Security and protecting critical infrastructure
  • Previous experience supporting Department of Homeland Security federal clients
  • Ability to develop business cases for strategic initiatives
  • Ability to communicate implementation strategies to Sr. Leadership
  • Demonstrated experience in communicating new ideas to senior leadership
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to deliver on commitments
  • Skilled in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
