Nakupuna Consulting is seeking a CyberSecurity Engineer III to provide security testing, security controls, and general cybersecurity support for the execution of a large size, multi-year contract to the Integrated Personnel and Pay System - Army (IPPS-A) Army Military Payroll (AMP). The CyberSecurity Engineer will be responsible for the integrity of the environment architecture, which includes reviewing designs, scanning for vulnerabilities, and drafting and implementing security controls. This role requires the engineer to write weekly and monthly status reports regarding security efforts to be sent to upper-level management as well as the Army client. Collaboration will be an integral part of this role, and the level III engineer should expect to communicate frequently and openly with other CyberSecurity professionals and the numerous Agile Teams across the AMP program. The CyberSecurity Engineer III will support cybersecurity activities by reviewing architectural designs for impacts to cybersecurity concerns. They will analyze security scans to identify vulnerabilities and review test findings to coordinate resolution and reduce opportunities for breaches. For vulnerabilities that cannot be eliminated, the engineer will assist with Risk Management Framework (RMF) actions to identify risk, risk measurement and assessment, risk mitigation, and risk reporting and monitoring, including the creation of Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs) as appropriate. The engineer will also assess, plan, implement, and maintain controls needed to deliver certified and accredited systems in accordance with regulations. Additionally, they will support security testing, audits, and the generation of remediation and mitigation plans, while performing work under minimal supervision and possessing comprehensive knowledge of Cybersecurity and Information Assurance subject matter.
