About the position

Modern Technology Solutions Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer / Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. In this role, you will be recognized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in cybersecurity, responsible for conducting comprehensive information system security engineering and cloud activities. Your primary focus will be on capturing and refining information security requirements, ensuring that these requirements are seamlessly integrated into system and security architecture designs. This position is critical to maintaining the integrity and security of our information systems, and it requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will work closely with various stakeholders to identify security needs and develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with information systems. You will be involved in the design and implementation of security measures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Your expertise will contribute to the development of security policies and procedures that align with organizational goals and industry best practices. Responsibilities

• Conduct information system security engineering and cloud activities.
• Capture and refine information security requirements.
• Integrate security requirements into system and security architecture designs.
• Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify security needs and solutions.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering and information systems security.
• Strong understanding of security architecture and design principles.
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies and compliance frameworks.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cloud security solutions.
• Knowledge of national defense and security programs.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.
