About the position

2HB Incorporated is seeking a Penetration Tester/Cyber Security Engineer to support its government customer in Herndon, VA. This role focuses on providing specialized penetration testing and ethical hacking services to assess and exploit vulnerabilities in information systems, ultimately aiding senior decision makers in strategic investment decisions.

Responsibilities

• Support the US Government in penetration testing and ethical hacking.
• Target, assess, and exploit risks and vulnerabilities of information systems.
• Provide documented and actionable data to senior decision makers.
• Conduct hands-on security testing leveraging adversarial tactics.
• Analyze network architectures and perform network security analysis.
• Develop risk management methodologies and mitigation plans.
• Test or review system configurations, development, and design, particularly for enterprise systems and hypervisors.

Requirements

• Demonstrated work experience in cyber security or related IT field.
• Experience with cyber security penetration testing.
• Working knowledge of cyber security principles for Linux, Windows, and virtual platforms.
• Experience designing, testing, or implementing IT security architecture.
• Experience performing network security analysis.
• Experience using network management tools.
• Experience analyzing test results to develop risk and threat mitigation plans.
• Certifications: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Global Information Assurance Certified Penetration Testing (GPEN).
