About the position

The Cyber Security Engineer V position focuses on data scanning and data loss prevention (DLP) initiatives. The role requires a technical lead who can provide project management and hands-on support at a Subject Matter Expert (SME) level. Key responsibilities include guiding technical projects from conception to operationalization, troubleshooting, and conducting root cause analysis. The position demands a commitment of 40 hours per week, typically from 8 am to 4:30 pm, with potential for night and weekend work based on project needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to a team of cyber engineers supporting technologies within the area of focus.
  • Provide technical guidance to data scanning initiatives and projects.
  • Provide technical guidance to DLP solutions and projects.
  • Evaluate technical solutions in response to business challenges.
  • Provide thought leadership in support of continuous improvements and service maturation.
  • Present technical solutions as needed for knowledge sharing and acceptance.
  • Provide project support and status reporting.
  • Establish and maintain system documentation.
  • Represent changes via CAB meetings.
  • Collaborate with partnering teams in support of solution development and deployment.

Requirements

  • Strong team player with the ability to communicate and show leadership among teams of specialists and engineers.
  • Experience leading technical teams.
  • Experience working with Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in Cyber Engineering with a concentration on data scanning and DLP.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience with system design, administration, security, and DLP rule development.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, including group training.
  • Practical understanding of machine learning and automation.

Nice-to-haves

  • 10+ years' experience with data scanning and DLP design, administration, and security.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Active CISSP Certification.
