About the position

The Cyber Security Engineer position is aimed at expanding the engineering team of a non-profit organization focused on human resources, primarily serving clients in the Department of Defense (DoD) sector. This role is suitable for junior to mid-level candidates and requires a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and practices, with a focus on obtaining a DOD secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and security reviews.
• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Utilize tools like OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Kali Linux, SonarQube, or Fortify for security testing.
• Implement NIST frameworks in security practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Eligibility to obtain a DOD secret clearance.
• CCSP, CISSP, or Security+ certification.
• Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience working with OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Kali Linux, SonarQube, or Fortify.
• Experience conducting vulnerability assessments and security reviews.
