In the role of a cybersecurity professional, you will be responsible for protecting our customers' most sensitive data and complex systems from various threats, including cyber-attacks, insider threats, rogue network devices, and malicious software. You will collaborate with a team of like-minded professionals to share ideas and improve the cybersecurity infrastructure, architecture, and configuration deployments. Your contributions will be valued, and you will play a crucial role in enhancing the security posture of our clients. This position is contingent upon customer approval and requires on-site presence for the first 90 days, after which a hybrid work schedule may be offered.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with enterprise efforts to assess systems and provide technical recommendations using various tools.
  • Coordinate remediation of findings and ensure tracking with relevant teams.
  • Leverage multiple SIEM platforms and SOAR to determine exposure to vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
  • Ensure security of all types of cloud systems from major vendors, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings.
  • Communicate cybersecurity recommendations to system owners and track their remediation efforts.
  • Develop and test new tools and services for applicability of findings on customer networks.
  • Apply a zero-trust architecture framework to on-premises and cloud systems.
  • Build working relationships within the team and with external stakeholders to effectively complete the mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must be able to be onsite for the first 90 days followed by a hybrid schedule.
  • Possess one of the following certifications: CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CISSP, Security + CE, CySA+, PPDA Agile IC, SNOW App Dev.
  • Proficient in SIEM platform usage, such as Splunk.
  • Proficient in Endpoint Detection & Response tools, such as Tanium and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
  • Proficient in the ServiceNow SOAR platform.
  • Understanding of cloud native portals such as Azure Security Center or AWS Security Hub.
  • Competent in communicating across all media to build relationships with stakeholders and achieve mission objectives.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • CCNA certification.
  • Knowledge of and experience with security subsystems (e.g., firewalls, VPN servers, IDS/IPS).
  • Working knowledge of network technologies.
  • Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
  • Ability to solve network-related problems using diagnostic techniques and protocols.
  • Familiarity with backbone and Wide Area networking (WAN) components, wiring infrastructures, VPNs, Layer 2 and 3 networking protocols, multicast, firewalls, DHCP, DNS, IP address management, and network monitoring software.
  • Familiarity with Zero-Trust Architecture (ZTA) framework.
