About the position

The Cybersecurity organization’s Web Application Firewall team is looking for skilled cybersecurity engineers to manage a backlog of external customer tickets related to firewall policy change requests. This role involves working with a ticketing system to address customer needs while ensuring security best practices are followed.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming requests via Service Now ticketing system.
• Challenge request details to ensure only the minimum required access is provided.
• Transfer requirements into a tool to format API commands for granting access.
• Execute commands against API to publish firewall policy updates.
• Document all requests (fulfilled and rejected) within Service Now.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer.
• Understanding of firewall policies and security protocols.
• Experience working with Service Now ticketing system.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, cybersecurity or equivalent.
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize tasks to complete within established time frames.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new or evolving technologies.
• Possessing technical security certifications is a strong asset.
• Ability to write and edit formal-technical documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
