About the position

As a Cybersecurity Specialist at CACI, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and resilience of our digital infrastructure. Your extensive experience in cybersecurity policy compliance, combined with your technical expertise, will be essential in enhancing our cyber defense capabilities. This position involves proactive measures to safeguard our networks and responding to security breaches to maintain a secure environment. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the strategic cybersecurity initiatives of our organization. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policies, including Assessment and Authorization requirements. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, upgrading, and monitoring cybersecurity measures to improve our cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network. Assessing cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and proposing and implementing remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies will also be a key part of your role. You will ensure that appropriate security controls are in place to safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure, respond to computer security breaches, re-establish protections, and make required reports. Additionally, you will conduct security audits on IT infrastructure, manage appropriate scans, and utilize Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) checklists. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce cybersecurity best practices will be essential, as will staying updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to continuously improve our security posture.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policies, including Assessment and Authorization requirements.
  • Planning, implementing, upgrading, and monitoring cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network.
  • Assessing cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and proposing and implementing remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensuring appropriate security controls are in place to safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure.
  • Responding to computer security breaches, re-establishing protections, and making required reports.
  • Conducting security audits on IT infrastructure and managing appropriate scans and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) checklists.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce cybersecurity best practices.
  • Staying updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to continuously improve our security posture.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent.
  • Certification as Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I per DoD 8570.1M, depending on PWS tasking.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policies, including Assessment and Authorization requirements.
  • Experience in planning, implementing, upgrading, and monitoring cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network.
  • Experience in assessing cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and proposing and implementing remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies.
  • Experience in ensuring appropriate security controls are in place to safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure.
  • Experience in responding to computer security breaches and re-establishing protections.
  • Three (3) years of experience conducting security audits on IT infrastructure and managing appropriate scans and STIG checklists.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive attitude and a commitment to staying updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.
