About the position

The Cyber Security Engineer will play a crucial role in safeguarding the organization's digital assets within the Energy/Natural Resources industry. This position involves managing Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Single-Sign-On (SSO) solutions, ensuring the security of both physical and cloud environments, and coordinating annual penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities. The role requires a strong understanding of various security protocols and technologies, as well as the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and enhance Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Single-Sign-On (SSO) solutions.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of authentication protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and RADIUS.
  • Handle Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) management, including deployment, updates, reporting, and incident response.
  • Ensure the security of physical on-premises, remote data center, and cloud environments.
  • Maintain secure configuration standards for various systems, including Windows, Linux, Mac, server, and cloud-based environments.
  • Coordinate vulnerability management, remediation, and yearly penetration testing.
  • Adhere to security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and SOX compliance.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, and lead by example.
  • Adapt and succeed in an ever-evolving work environment.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Checkpoint, a leading provider of cyber security solutions.
  • Experience with Cisco ASA, a comprehensive suite of security solutions.
  • Familiarity with various Cisco Technologies, indicating a broad understanding of network infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Technologies, showcasing adaptability in the ever-evolving digital landscape.
  • Expertise in Firewall Technologies, a critical aspect of network security.
  • Ability to conduct AB Testing, demonstrating analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Auditing experience, indicating a thorough understanding of compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency in AWS Technologies, a popular platform in the cloud computing space.
  • Experience in Configuration Management, showcasing organizational and technical skills.
  • Strong background in Cyber Security, the core competency for this role.
  • Familiarity with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance), highlighting a strategic approach to cyber security.
