About the position

The Cyber Security Engineer position is a critical role focused on developing, updating, and managing Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) entries. The engineer will coordinate and staff Authorization & Accreditation (A&A) packages in compliance with DoDI 8510.01 Risk Management Framework. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can maintain and prepare mission systems Certification & Accreditation (C&A) schedules, ensuring that all systems are registered in compliance with the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for reviewing security policies and procedures to ensure they meet the necessary standards and regulations. In this position, the Cyber Security Engineer will administer information assurance updates, conduct thorough security assessments, and document Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) results. The role also includes performing physical security penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced tech environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively while adapting to dynamic changes in the workload. This is a Contract-to-Hire position, providing an opportunity for candidates to demonstrate their skills and potentially secure a permanent role within the organization. The work is fully on-site in El Segundo, California, requiring a commitment to being present at the workplace to collaborate with team members and stakeholders directly.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and manage eMASS entries.
  • Coordinate and staff Authorization & Accreditation (A&A) packages in compliance with DoDI 8510.01 Risk Management Framework.

Requirements

  • CompTIA Security+ certification required.
  • CISSP certification preferred.
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Knowledge of Authorization & Accreditation (A&A) processes.
  • Strong background in Cyber Security.
