Synopsys is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer to join our team, focusing on the Identity Access Management (IAM) and Data Classification programs. This role is integral to all aspects of security, particularly in corporate identity process designs, implementation, and documentation. The Synopsys Information Enterprise Security Engineering team plays a crucial role in helping the organization transform and securely build innovative solutions for the business. Key responsibilities will include security design, engineering, automation, security research and development, and operationalization of security solutions. The Senior Information Security Engineer will guide and define overarching technical security engineering, ensuring that Synopsys solutions are designed and implemented to the highest security standards, setting them apart in the marketplace. The engineer will be responsible for delivering a security framework that informs the security organization about new industry trends and security solutions that address complex problems while aligning with the enterprise security strategy, technologies, and platform options. This position requires a proactive approach to installing, integrating, and deploying IAM solutions, collaborating with the IAM team to enhance the IAM program, and working closely with development teams to manage user, group, and password management requests. The engineer will also create and maintain IAM metrics, assist project teams with Active Directory integration patterns, and plan updates to maintain and support enterprise IAM tools. A significant part of the role involves building a roadmap to mature the IAM platform through a comprehensive approach, identifying dependencies, and integrating with other teams. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, along with strong analytical and leadership abilities. They should be capable of prioritizing projects and deliverables, driving accurate and timely decisions, and analyzing information to draw accurate conclusions. A passion for being a key player in a dynamic Information Security Engineering team is essential. Knowledge of privileged and non-privileged access, authentication types, and protocols is crucial. The engineer will provide domain expertise and consultation to business units regarding corporate security and enterprise technology, participate in security strategy plans, and review security technologies and IAM services, making recommendations based on security, financial, and operational metrics. Additionally, they will engage in security requirements and technical design discussions to influence requirements and mentor other engineers, ensuring that organizational priorities and design strategies are aligned with the overall business value.
