About the position

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cyber Security Network Engineer to support a government contract across multiple locations, including Reston, VA, College Park, MD, and JBAB. The role focuses on the enterprise deployment of Gigamon security solutions, enhancing network security and observability. The engineer will supervise a team, troubleshoot complex challenges, and manage the research of new technologies to improve security solutions. This position is critical for protecting data and networks from threats, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, mentoring, and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Support the enterprise deployment of the Gigamon Deep Observability Pipeline and GigaVUE Fabric Manager.
• Oversee the development and implementation of Gigamon and network security solutions.
• Supervise a team in troubleshooting and analyzing complex challenges using GigaVUE HC-3 and GigaVUE T-10 packet broker solutions.
• Manage research of new technologies and market trends to refine security solutions.
• Develop relationships with other teams and communicate security complexities to various audiences.
• Manage infrastructure and cyber security controls, enhancing detection and vulnerability capabilities.
• Lead risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas.

Requirements

• Experience with architecting and designing IP networks, including developing and documenting network topologies.
• Experience with troubleshooting and restoring network and system outages.
• Experience with designing and implementing DoD enclaves, including compute storage, networking, routing, switching, firewalls, and end-user devices.
• Experience with deploying Gigamon Appliances and network taps.
• Knowledge of multi-domain architectures, including data center, WAN, and LAN in virtualized architectures.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
