About the position
The Cyber Security Operations Intern will support the organization's mission to enhance its cybersecurity defenses. This role is essential to help monitor, analyze, and respond to emerging cyber threats, improve operational resilience, and ensure the security of critical business infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Security Operations Center (SOC) team in monitoring and triaging security alerts.
- Conduct initial analysis of incidents and escalate high-priority issues to senior staff.
- Research emerging threats and vulnerabilities relevant to the organization's systems.
- Document incident findings and contribute to post-incident reviews.
- Help maintain and improve security playbooks and operational processes.
- Support compliance audits and prepare associated documentation.
- Assist in configuring and optimizing security tools for enhanced monitoring and detection.
- Participate in testing and deploying new tools or updates.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as threat analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Familiarity with security tools (e.g., SIEM, endpoint protection, network monitoring tools) is a plus.
