About the position

The Cybersecurity Risk Engineering Consultant at Zurich Resilience Solutions is a fully remote role focused on providing technical assessments and consulting services related to cybersecurity vulnerabilities and risk management practices for customers. This position involves collaboration with Cyber Underwriting and includes training and knowledge sharing with various stakeholders. The consultant will work independently to enhance cybersecurity defenses and incident response preparedness for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Cyber Underwriting to assess cyber vulnerabilities and defenses.
  • Provide cybersecurity consulting and risk improvement services to customers.
  • Conduct technical assessments of incident response preparedness and information security practices.
  • Deliver training and knowledge sharing sessions to customers and internal teams.
  • Develop insightful reports on cybersecurity risks across various industries.
  • Manage relationships with third-party and Managed Service Providers.
  • Scope and deliver consultative professional service engagements, including Incident Response Plans and Business Continuity Plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of experience in Risk Engineering, or a High School Diploma with 10+ years of experience, or a Zurich Certified Apprentice with an Associate's degree and 8+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge of exposures, controls, and best practice risk improvement.
  • Ability to assess risks associated with Cybersecurity across various industries.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field with an emphasis on cybersecurity.
  • CISSP, CISM, CISA, or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience with cybersecurity assessment frameworks such as NIST Cyber Security Framework, ISO 27001, and COBiT.
  • Project management skills and experience leading teams.
  • Motivation to self-educate on current threats and risk mitigation tactics.
