About the position

The Swift Group is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Systems Engineer to support a key government program focused on delivering engineering services for network and enterprise computing infrastructure. This role involves working with sophisticated technologies, including multi-Cloud services and virtualized applications, to ensure robust security measures are implemented across various projects. The position is located in Dulles, VA, and offers a challenging and rewarding career opportunity in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Document security control implementations and gather artifacts for the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ICD 503 Security Accreditation.
  • Write Systems Security Plans (SSP)/CONOPS in the Greenlight application based on project architecture.
  • Collaborate with team members to create additional A&A related documents such as Contingency Plans (CP), General User Guides (GUG), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support Accreditation and Authorization (A&A) reviews by ISSO/M and Security Controls Assessor (SCA).
  • Document Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms) and provide required artifacts for evidence gathering.
  • Coordinate with contractor and staff personnel to obtain A&A content and navigate the customer's A&A process for various authorities.
  • Track the status of A&A projects to manage re-submissions for accreditation or extensions.

Requirements

  • 11+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and effective communication/facilitation abilities.
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of staff, from developers to senior management.
  • Knowledge of complex network environments with shared networks and multiple security enclaves.
  • Ability to translate technical implementation into easily understood security documentation.
  • Proven experience with A&A, RMF, ICD 503 Security Accreditation, and ATO processes.
  • BA/BS Degree or five additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous ISSE experience directly supporting the customer.
  • Previous ISSO experience directly supporting the customer.
  • Familiarity with security tools such as Greenlight, RoadRunner, Rapid 7, WebInspect, App Detective, and Splunk.
  • Experience with public, private, and hybrid Cloud environments (AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.).
  • Virtualization experience (VDI & VMWare).
