About the position

DCI Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Software Developer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, you will serve as a cyber security software developer, providing critical expertise in both cyber security and software development. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, testing, implementing, and managing safeguards against cyberattacks on our systems. You will work closely with penetration testers to perform penetration tests and assess potential security vulnerabilities, ensuring that our security measures are robust and effective. As a Cyber Software Developer, you will be responsible for identifying, mitigating, and resolving vulnerabilities within existing security systems. You will develop organization-wide security measures and prepare performance reports to communicate the status of our systems. Your role will also involve designing, engineering, modeling, analyzing, and developing software systems, as well as software delivery processes, including DevOps pipelines. You will assist federal agencies in tailoring Agile development and delivery techniques, engaging with government leaders to develop Agile processes, plans, and architectures that support software development, analysis, and operations. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will supervise and mentor subordinate project and team staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. This position requires a strong background in cybersecurity software development, with a focus on Agile methodologies and a commitment to maintaining the highest security standards.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a cyber security Software Developer
  • Provide cyber security and development expertise
  • Design, test, implement, and manage safeguards against cyberattacks of the system
  • Identify, mitigate, and resolve vulnerabilities within existing security systems
  • Work directly with penetration testers to perform penetration tests
  • Assess potential security problems
  • Develop organization wide security measures
  • Prepare performance reports and communicate system status
  • Design, engineer, model, analyze, and develop software systems
  • Develop software delivery processes including DevOps pipelines
  • Assist Federal agencies in tailoring Agile development and delivery techniques
  • Engage with Government leaders
  • Develop Agile processes, plans, and architectures to support software development, analysis, and operations

Requirements

  • Top Secret Clearance
  • 5 years of experience in cybersecurity software development
  • Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • 9+ years of overall relevant experience
  • AS +11 years of experience
  • HS diploma +13 years of experience
  • DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level II certified
  • DoD 8570.01-m IAM Level III or IASAE Level III certified
  • Experience with embedded system vulnerability development
  • Experience working within a Scrum team or agile environment (Preferred)
  • CISSP, CCSP, CISM, or equivalent (Preferred)
