This position is a US-based remote opportunity that will require periodic travel to our corporate headquarters in Johnston, RI, which is located in the greater Providence area. Providence is known for its vibrant arts and entertainment scene, collegiate and minor league sporting events, and excellent dining options, all within a short distance from the beautiful Rhode Island beaches. We are currently seeking a Cyber Specialist Co-Op to join our Cyber Threat Operations and Engineering (CTOE) Team for the Spring 2025 school term. This full-time position will last for six months, starting in January 2025. This co-op opportunity is ideal for students eager to apply their academic knowledge in a professional setting while earning college credits and receiving compensation. As a Cyber Security Specialist Co-op, you will assist in the implementation, operation, maintenance, and growth of security solutions designed to mitigate cyber security threats. These solutions encompass a range of technologies, including network security tools like firewalls, URL filters, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and advanced threat prevention technologies, as well as server and endpoint solutions such as filesystem monitoring, encryption, vulnerability management, and malware detection/prevention agents. In this role, you will work closely with senior team members to manage day-to-day operations and monitor the security infrastructure technologies that are critical for preventing, detecting, and responding to security incidents. Your responsibilities will include supervising and responding to cyber security alerts and incidents, managing ticket queues, addressing operational incident tickets from the service desk, and processing change requests.
