About the position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a seasoned System Engineer to join our Cyber & Intelligence team, focusing on the critical area of cyber security. This role involves protecting vital networks against evolving cyber threats while collaborating with experts in a fast-paced environment. The position is integral to the design, development, and deployment of advanced RF and optical capabilities for high-capacity telecommunications networks, contributing to global communication and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage system engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans and Requirements Specifications.
• Ensure compatibility of production systems with defined system architectures like DoDAF and SOA.
• Develop and allocate system requirements to hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
• Coordinate cross-discipline action items from CCB meetings, design reviews, and test reviews.
• Develop alternative system concepts and design solutions.
• Establish and gain approval of system definitions and verification plans.
• Define derived requirements for Information Assurance Services and Security Mechanism Technology.
• Review and provide input to program and contract plans.

Requirements

• Current US Security Clearance with polygraph.
• 7+ years as a System Engineer.
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Five (5) years of additional System Engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with system engineering documentation management.
• Familiarity with DoDAF and SOA architectures.
