About the position

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Test Engineer to maintain a lab and provide unbiased testing of hardware and software in a preproduction environment. This role requires a proactive approach, integrity, and dedication to delivering high-quality work, with a focus on systems engineering in a full life-cycle test environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a Northrop Grumman lab for testing hardware and software.
• Provide unbiased testing in a preproduction environment.
• Track progress of testing milestones and review test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Coordinate with development teams for software baseline deployment.
• Conduct quality assurance and debugging, including troubleshooting and identifying bugs.
• Maintain thorough documentation and testing checklists.

Requirements

• Two years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in STEM or one year with a Master's degree; four years of additional relevant experience can substitute for a degree.
• U.S. Citizenship with an active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance within the last 24 months.
• DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher prior to the start date.
• Experience in a systems engineering role and working in a full life-cycle test environment.
• Experience using an automated test framework for end-to-end testing of software and networking projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Technical expertise with Synology or equivalent NFS storage appliances.
• Experience with Veeam for backup and recovery solutions.
• Ability to design, deploy, manage, and maintain VMware vCenter and ESXi.
• Technical expertise with Cisco and/or VMware technologies.
• Experience in designing and configuring Windows enterprise architecture including Active Directory and DNS.
