About The Position

The Cyber Systems Engineering Manager 2 at Northrop Grumman is a dual-role management position responsible for overseeing a team of cyber engineers and providing technical support for Sentinel Cyber Engineering. This role involves functional management duties such as employee engagement, performance reviews, and staffing, as well as direct program support to resolve high-priority challenges in cyber engineering. The position is based in Roy, UT, and requires periodic travel to various sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of technical experience in Cyber Systems, Software, or Hardware engineering disciplines; or Master's degree with 6 years of experience; or PhD with 3 years of experience.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI access.
  • Proven technical management experience in program IPT, R&D, or Advanced Systems environments.
  • Working knowledge of Program Execution, Staffing, Engineering Metrics, and Training resources.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 years of previous experience in People and Technical Leadership roles.
  • MBA and/or Master of Science degree in Engineering or other STEM discipline.
  • Active TS clearance with additional preference for SCI access.
  • Experience effectively leading diverse technical teams across multiple locations.
  • Experience using DOORs, CAMEO engineering tool platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Provide functional oversight for a team of cyber engineers, systems engineers, architects, and analysts.
  • Promote adherence to engineering processes, procedures, and best practices to ensure quality work products.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews and merit planning, mentoring, and training.
  • Staffing and workload forecasting; recruit talent for various levels of positions.
  • Take responsibility for resolving high priority and/or urgent program challenges.
  • Act as a cyber-generalist in supporting various Cyber Engineering teams.
  • Maintain awareness of the Cyber sub-IPT Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Support ongoing acquisition and maintenance of team member Cyber qualifications.
  • Agile coaching for teams utilizing SCRUM and Kanban methodology.
